The National Circle for Indigenous Agriculture & Food (NCIAF) is hosting an event in Regina on October 30th, 2024, at the Atlas Hotel from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and they extend an invitation to get involved and any leadership from your community you feel should attend.
We are looking to invite a handful of First Nations in the southeast of the province to discuss the opportunities, success stories and learnings from community gardens, orchards and greenhouses projects that are underway. The intention of the day is to deliver valuable information to help ignite current and potential projects on community but also offering the space for networking and discussions. The goal would be to foster space to learn from each other, provide valuable materials and toolkits to help each nation consider their own projects and to offer a chance to discuss the collective challenges that exist in moving the dial on Indigenous food sovereignty.
NCIAF is prioritizing the following communities:
